We all experience difficult emotions: anxiety, shame, anger, fear. They come and go, and sometimes they stay with us for years. Through my work, I’m facing, naming, and owning these feelings by turning them into bold, playful characters: Inner Demons.
By giving them faces and forms, I’m taking away their power. They are no longer vague, scary or overwhelming. They have become something we can face, understand and even enjoy.
Lets own our demons, don’t let them own us.
The inner demons collection for Urban Break is a mixture of large paintings, wooden figures and small character portraits. All layered spray paint on wood and paper.
